Mike:
Lead Investigator
Hello and welcome to D.C.P.I. I am Derry :)
I have always been interested in the paranormal after growing up in a house with a poltergeist. For the longest time I was told I was crazy until we had paranormal investigators come who proved that very much wrong and that is when I knew it was something I wanted to do. From there my sister originally founded D.C.P.I and passed it on to me. I have a degree in Psychology and Sociology and enjoy scientific ways of investigating as well as the more traditional divination techniques. My dream would be to capture a full apparition, but isn't everyones?
Favourite place to investigate?
St Nicholas Priory in Exeter
Scariest place ever explored?
Bron Y Garth Hospital
Place I would love to investigate?
My childhood home.

Dee:
Historian and Research Lead
Dee as has always had a love for history and especially with local history, she is a fan of the folklore and ghost stories that are told about Devon and has always been a keen reader of these. She is believer in the paranormal but does not accompany us on any investigations. Her role is to use her knowledge and key research skills to find potential research locations, research the history and potential activity of those sites both for the website and for the investigations. She is the driving force behind the investigations and without her and SatNav we would never go anywhere!
Favourite types of places to research?
Castle - So much history and often traceable.
Least favourite places to research?
Workhouses - Often no records of workers.
Favourite type of evidence to review?

Hi I am Ros, the joker of the team that always likes a giggle, do daft things, a bit if a daredevil too, the wild one!! 😁 I have had an interest in the paranormal from a young age, probably too young really!! When I was 9 years old my father passed away very suddenly and I was the last person he spoke to as I was right by his side when he went to greener pastures. For many months after I would still hear his footsteps coming down the stairs in the middle of the night to spend a penny, even heard the flush of the lavvy, and could smell his cologne in the bathroom daily. This confused me as if he had gone to heaven why do I still feel like he's here. As life carried on I studied in college and got married, did all the normal things, but the fascination of the paranormal never left me. I would watch scary movies and paranormal documentaries regularly. I found myself trying to explain the happenings, De bunk the activity caught. So I decided to take the plunge and go on an investigation with a local group. My first event was at Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset and from that moment I was hooked. I am a believer that there is life on the other side but I also have a skeptical side that enjoys the more technical side of de bunking to find physical proof to be 100% certain it is unexplainable phenomenon before I get too excited!! I'm an optimist, I'm fun, I'm happy I'm me I live laugh and love to the fullest and my motto for a happy fun filled life is that Life is a gift take it by the hand enjoy it, do whatever you dream of, be the best you can be, live it to the full and never give up on it 😁 I'm certainly doing what I love to do with the best people I could ever be doing it with!!
Favourite place to investigate?
Shepton Mallet Prison - this place is what started my paranormal investigation journey, will always be special to me and never fails to amaze.
Scariest place ever explored?
The scariest place would be Wellington Road Cemetery in Somerset - when I was a teenager I was dared to walk through it alone and it petrified me!! safe to say I was in no hurry to repeat that walk, a super scary place.
Place I would love to investigate?
Alcatraz Prison - always fascinated me. I would also love to investigate an American Asylum as they appear to have the complete fear factor, but do they 🤔 that's what I wish to discover !!

Laura:
Social Media and Lead Investigator
Hi I’m Laura, I’ve been interested in the unexplained and paranormal for many years. My first experience was as a teenager, I saw a full bodied apparition ( my grandmother) it terrified and amazed me at the same time but from that moment I was hooked on the afterlife and paranormal activity. I wanted to know more. I went on many ghost hunts as a guest for years and experienced lots of different activities using all types of methods. The ouija board being one of my favourites! Since then, I became a paranormal investigator and love nothing more than being with my spooky family.
Favourite place to investigate?
My favourite place I’ve investigated has to be The Ancient Ram Inn, I had the pleasure of meeting John the former owner and he told us all his stories. The activity was both amazing and terrifying.
Scariest Place Ever Explored?
The scariest place is most definitely Bron Y Garth in wales. I spent a whole 5 minutes inside before running out in tears. I did of course return and even spent the night inside the former hospital.
Place I would love to investigate?
I’d love to visit and investigate the Catacombs of Paris and Myrtles plantation
Hi, my name is Mike Leaman I have been interested in the paranormal since I was about 12 years old. We had a Basset Hound which needed an operation and my mum slept downstairs whilst she recovered. One night my mum woke up to see an lady in old style clothes walk through one door across in front of her and through the wall.
This intrigued me but I never saw the lady. During my working career I have seen a full bodied apparition which disappeared when I spoke to him and also saw a pair of translucent feet wearing work boots turn and walk away from me. My interest was peaked and I wanted to learn more, experience more and that's how I got into Paranormal Investigation.
Favourite place to investigate?
At present I have two favourite places to investigate, the first is Forde House in Newton Abbot as the activity gets better each time I have gone back and the second is Scolton Manor having just done this location it was a pleasure to make contact with a Military Family from 1916. Being ex military it was an extremely humbling experience.
Scariest place ever explored?
One of the scariest places was in fact where I saw the full bodied apparition but not because of seeing a gentleman disappear in front of me but it was the top floor of the Manor House Hotel in Moretonhampstead that always filled me with a sense of dread.
Place I would love to investigate?
Places I would love to Investigate would be a good old fashioned American Ghost Town, being a cowboy at heart it would be a great opportunity to do. Another, and I pick my words carefully, would be Auschwitz so many people were murdered there that I ask myself what would this world be like now? What has humanity lost in future technology or medicine.
Everybody has a purpose in life and when a life is taken too soon what has humanity lost?

Dominique:
Lead Investigator
I was born in Devon, i have 6 children 2 grandchildren, 2 dogs 3 ducks and a cat.
I've always believed in spirits from a young age. When I was 7 my great gran died and about 2 weeks after I was lying in bed and I saw a white figure floating above my bed. I knew it was my great gran. She didn't speak and being 7 I hid under the covers when I was brave enough to come back out she was gone. Several years later in another house the same figure came to visit again but that was the last time I saw her. When I was 15 I used to clean a big holiday home which used to be an old tb hospital with my mum and in the cellar I used to feel very scared and not really sure why. In one of the bedrooms above the cellar while I was cleaning I felt I had to hide in a cupboard and felt like I had gone into a trance like state... I now think I was reacting or being affected by some sort of presence. From then onwards I couldn't go back to that part of the house without someone being with me. It wasn't until about 7 years ago in 2017 when I became part of a local ghost hunting group and realised I was picking up on feelings of people and spirits around me and realised I was empathic. I have been part of several groups over the years and had some great experiences with guests and personally.
Favourite place to investigate?
My favourite places for experiences so far have been, Berry Pomeroy, Holy trinity and Fort widley, where I have had growls behind me and dark shadows and a man walk through my arm twice turning my elbow freezing cold.
Place I would love to investigate?
I would love to investigate Bron y garth, Newsham or 30 east drive.
